Swimming with Smart Phones! -Latest Tech News

The stakes are definitely high in the world of smart phone technology today. It seems like every couple of months companies are coming out with something new to make life better for the everyday consumer and to have that competitive edge over their competitors. Unlike technology for the PC, that has essentially been unchanged for what has seemed like 20 years, there is an urgent demand for smart phone competitors to drive diversity and innovation.

My latest find was water proof and corrosion resistant smart phones by P2i. Technically you could go swimming with them or text/watch a movie while taking a bath? At first I didn't think there was an urgent need to have a water proof phone, but research (by P2i) is now showing 1 in 3 phones to get wet daily.

P2i is a very interesting company that prides itself on being a solution provider with products in many markets. What most interests me is the nanotechnology (Aridion-trademark name) that essentially makes these phones have limitless potential. Note that this nano-coating does not affect the working components of electronic devices; maintaining the look, feel and functionality of the product. In fact, in addition to liquid (hydrophobic) and oil (oleophobic) repellency, the technology can be tailored to create a huge range of invisible funtional benefits, opening up entirely new markets.

I highly recommend checking out their website.
